On the specially adapted trailer, our Doris 5m can easily be pulled by a small car to the desired area - the lagoons of Grado or Venice or whatever area you want to explore.

 

When you arrive at your destination, you remove the skin-tight travel cover, which protects the boat and all of its equipment from dirt. Inside you will then find all the spars with its sails, mast and oars neatly arranged on the two leather-padded transportation devices. The two lashing oars are then removed, the mast is very easy to set up, and the rig does not require any support.

 

Now attach the sails and oars. The centerboard, which remains in the centerboard case for transportation, locks onto the padded trailer axle and is locked in the upper position for slipping. The rudder blade and tiller, which are transported inside the boat, are provided with a neat transportation kit to protect it. Attach the rudder blade, put on the tiller and fix the tiller lock.

 

Then remove the rear lights from the trailer and the boat is ready to be slipped. You do not need to drive deep into the water with the trailer, the boat glides effortlessly over the keel rollers made of polyamide and only needs a very shallow water depth for swimming.
